Building Booked Solid Podcast
Booked Solid is a podcast that is currently available on Apple Podcasts , Spotify , Google Podcasts , Stitcher , Deezer , iHeartRadio , and YouTube — completely free of charge! Functioning as a virtual book club, every other week we review in detail a new novel— periodically comparing and contrasting select novels with their films and TV counterparts— and aim to engage in discussions with our listeners via our Facebook Page and our email . In order to get our podcast off the ground, we realized we could greatly benefit from some additional start-off funds!
Booked Solid began as a passion project from creator and co-host, Sariah Emmanuel and with co-host, India Smith, we aim to create quality content that is accessible to listeners, encouraging any and everyone to follow along on this reading journey with us!
Specifically, the money acquired from this GoFundMe campaign will be going towards:
Supplies - Purchasing books is necessary for our podcast and can get expensive over time. In many instances, we purchase and read several books in one month in order to prep for future episodes. In addition to books, we are committed to producing high-quality sounding audio and are looking to upgrade our audio and microphone equipment in order to yield better audio results.
Digital Maintenance - Each episode is edited by us and uploaded via a subscription-based podcast service in order to make it to the various free-listening apps we are streaming on. With additional funding, we will be able to maintain the financial upkeep of the editing and distributing services we currently use.
Promotional Campaigns - One of the most effective tools we have found to grow our podcast audience is the use of social media. However, for the most part we are dependent on advertising our content and frequently have to do so within the confines of a limited budget. With the help of funds donated, we will be able to grow Booked Solid and reach more people by promoting the channel across the globe!
