HOUSE OF TALENT COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING PROJECT
Our Vision is to build a community centre in Cameroon to provide and create a safe and stimulating space with plans to accommodate a sports hall, changing facilities, as well as classroom space, auditorium, atelier and connective spaces particularly to widows and the youth..
Our services will range from counselling, study groups, spirituality retreats, and an exclusive youth hub with a range of sports, cooking and other extra-curricular activities.
This is an opportunity to give those that come through our doors something to take away. This is to provide opportunities to youngsters outside of the school environment, exposing them to exciting new learning projects and helping them amass new skill sets through empowering workshops and courses therefore diversifying their experiences.
Helene Dalle, the founder and Director of this charity used her gift for compassion to create LOVE MISSION in 2017.
Our mission is to provide full emotional, spiritual, health, educational and financial support for vulnerable people to ultimately restore their faith and hope and enable them to build a better future.
LOVE MISSION identifies the most vulnerable people in Cameroon, including widows, orphans, children who are homeless or impacted by AIDS and Hepatitis B, and provides necessities, books, toys, school supplies and more. We organize fundraisers and engages our UK colleagues to donate supplies, which she sends throughout the year. In addition, Helene travel to Cameroon annually to personally distribute some of the goods.
In 2019, LOVE MISSION organized a successful campaign to provide access to dental care, school supplies, and education fees assistance, including the addition of a computer room for children to learn basic computer skills.
Our total target for purchasing the land, and constructing, decorating our purpose-built Community Centre, is £149K. This will be stage phased on 7 years program.
The land will cost us £16k; we have raised £5k to date and a well know French construction company has made an offer to build for free .
Please help us in moving forward with this building project to make a difference in the life of these children. Our children are our future, we want to inspire, give hope.
About the Building project
The community centre “House of Talent’s Centre” which is a multi-purpose facility will provide support, social activities including a jobs club, weekly Citizens Advice appointments with social workers , as well as a social canteen and many regular sport activities and clubs. All of these helps to improve the life chances, health and well-being of children, some of whom are extremely vulnerable,
