Build A Coffee Cart To Employ Autistic People

Gold Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation providing support for young people on the Autism Spectrum and their families.

Our mission is simple: to connect young autistic people to the world around them and empower them through the discovery and uncovering of their individual strengths.

We want young autistic people to be proud of who they are, to go above and beyond, stand tall, be inspired and feel like they belong.

For over 15 years, Gold Foundation has provided a holistic service with a variety of workshops, seminars and programs—such as social skills programs and groups for 6 to 12-year-olds, life skills programs for teenagers- as well as other fun events for young people and the whole community.

We are currently looking at building an Australian First "Shine Like Gold!" Coffee Cart where young people can learn to build real life practical skills through workplace paid employment. It will be a Coffee Cart entirely run by young people on the Autism Spectrum and will serve a massive part of our local community (as well as other communities and schools we plan to visit) and give them a sense of purpose and achievement in their lives. 

The plan is fundraise $10,000 to assist in helping design and build the infrastructure for our Coffee Cart as well as ongoing materials and stock (Coffee Machine, Coffee Beans, Small Fridge, Milk, Sugar, Condiments, Labour etc).
