Bryan’s stage 4 fight

Not everyone will be aware of this but last year, my husband was hit with a cancer diagnosis but bravely came out the other side and was given the all clear after a scan in July - we couldn’t have been happier!

So you can imagine the shock and devastation we have felt after being told this week that he has a stage 4 secondary cancer with an expected months to live due to being unable to have chemo or radiotherapy as they don’t believe he’d survive the treatment. To go from no cancer to the worst stage all within not even a year is something we as a family are struggling to wrap our heads around.

Like with many things, the NHS are limited due to funding for any alternative treatments even though there are many out there but only a couple of options open to him but that unfortunately comes with a price tag - one that’s out of our reach. No one’s life should have a monetary value placed on it but that’s where we are and we know we have to at least try these options because we aren’t ready to give up.

Bryan has already proven how strong he is once and we hope with the right interventions, he will get a little extra time with family and friends and we can give him a better quality of life while we can - we just need a little help to do that.

It’s an uncomfortable feeling making this page but when you’re faced with life and death with little conventional methods available, pride has to take a step back and you have to just hope that a miracle is waiting just around the corner for us.
