"A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work." - Colin Powell
My name is Dana and it is MY dream, as a mother, to see all my children reach their dreams and aspirations.
The dream that I’m asking for your help with, is Brooke’s dream of becoming a District Attorney.
Brooke has been aspiring to become an attorney since she was 5 years old. Being a survivor of a crime, she has been inspired to help others and “put the bad guys away”. I say survivor and not victim, because she has showed persistent strength and resilience without pity for herself after what happened to her. This young lady has overcome so many obstacles, including being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 9 years old. Yet still, she continues to grow into a strong, determined, and hard working 15 year old. Never feeling sorry for herself and never using her negative experiences as an excuse to not persevere. She has never let her trials and tribulations interfere with what she wants in life and who she is.
She has achieved Honor Roll every year, is active in choir, color guard and musical theater. Not only has she excelled in academics and extracurricular activities, she has managed to capture the hearts and love from many with her go getter attitude and positive radiance that shines from within herself.
Brooke has been offered a tremendous opportunity to help her reach her goal. She has been offered a spot in the Intensive Law and Trial program held “specifically for high achieving high school students.” in collaboration with Stanford Law School. And we need your help to get her there.
I will do whatever I can to contribute including picking up extra shifts at work, but I unfortunately cannot do this alone. Not only that, but our time is limited. The deadline is May 7th 2025.
Please donate whatever you can afford, if you cannot donate all we ask is that you share.
This opportunity would be an absolute blessing and could bring many prospects for a good college and possibly scholarships her way, giving her a higher success rate at achieving her goal.
They say our children are the future, I see a bright one in Brooke in the justice community. I hope you agree.
