Brittany's Study Abroad Fund

Hey there! First and foremost, thank you so much for taking the time out to visit my gofundme page. I ask that you read through my story to get a better understanding of who I am and what I need the money for.

My name is Brittany Jade Rendon and I am currently a junior in college. I am a dual major in Fashion Merchandising and Computer Art at SUNY Oneonta, located in Upstate NY. I am the first in my family to go to college, let alone graduate high school. I have always been a very free-spirited and ambitious person. My biggest goal in life is to travel the world and learn about other cultures first-hand. I have never allowed setbacks to prevent me from reaching my goals, and I do not plan to allow my financial shortcomings hold me from studying abroad.

If I raise enough money to attend the summer program at IED Milan I will be taking a 6-credit fashion stylist course. During this 4 week course I will not only be given the opportunity to learn the art of the fashion scene in the classroom, I will also be participating in several hands-on activities and interacting with students and succesful individuals in the fashion industry. I have a passion for fashion styling, and I wish to one day become a professional stylist. I operate my own fashion blog in which I share my outfit choices with individuals throught the world, in hopes to inspire them with my personal style. Milan is one of the top 5 fashion capitals in the world and I will benefit both professionally and personally from this opportunity.

I am seeking $6,500 to study abroad this summer in Milan, Italy at one of Europe's most prestigious fashion universities. This is my last year at SUNY Oneonta, so this is basically my last chance to study abroad if I want to finish my degree on time. The total program costs equal ~$10,000. My financial aid is covering about $3,500, however the remaining amount is my own responsibility. I am working my butt off to try and come up with the rest, but I can certainly use your help. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated. $5 can go a long way in making my dream become a reality.
