The Back Story
My brother Hector Daniel Estrada came to the United States undocumented from Honduras when he was 10 years old (21 years ago). He was brought to the states to build a better life, have a brighter future and to be with his US born siblings and the rest of his family. In the past 20 years Danny has attended high school in NC, traveled throughout the east coast and built a career with IHOP. He has created a large friend group and his entire inmmediate family is here in North Carolina, US. If you know him, he is always smiling and making everyone smile too!
On May 2nd, Danny was detained by ICE in Charlotte, NC and transferred immediately to Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia where he could be facing deportation. Our family has hired an attorney to request a motion for a bond. Once he is released he would to request asylum for fear of persecution and discrimination towards LGBT community in Honduras.
A lot of his friends that have become family to Danny want to know how they can help, so we want to give you the opportunity to look into our story and help in any of the following ways.
1. Pray to God for Danny in this journey!
2. Write Letters of Encouragement and mail to him directly.

3. Write a letter of moral character that can be notarized and used defending his case in court. Contact Rosa Estrada on this page for details.
4. If you feel compelled to give, we will be raising funds for him.
The Cost
We are hoping the judge will set the lowest bond possible, it could be $5,000 or less. The cost of filing for asylum could cost up to $5,000. PLUS, any expenses at his place while he is being detained.
We would wholeheartedly appreciate any and everything you could do to bring Danny home.
