Bringing Sweetz4U by T to life...

My name is Tangia Bolton. I am a 33-year-old black female.

I've always had a small passion for baking since middle school. Seeing people eat and enjoy something I made at the time (a box cake mix) brought me so much joy. I decided to make it into my life's love and dedicated myself to learning the basics. After I graduated high school, I applied to culinary school.

I finished my degree in 2012 with my associate's in Culinary Arts with a concentration in Baking and Pastry Arts. I have worked in fine dining restaurants, hometown bakeries, a cake design studio and now, a wholesale bakery. I chose these places to find my place in what I wanted to do with my skill set. I have always made cakes on the side for family and friends. Building a client base is hard, so word of mouth is how my business eventually spreads.

I have been a long-time and trusted employee of Duck's Kitchen, which was located in downtown Decatur, GA since 2019. I am purchasing the bakery from the current owner's, Ann Duckworth and Cindy Diamond, with their blessing and support. They have always been there, ready to help me succeed in this business venture.

I want to keep the classic nature of what made Duck's Kitchen successful and well-known, while also bringing my own flair of cake decorating and expanding our base wholesale clientele.

I now come to you asking for help. I currently don't qualify for any business loans as I have been established for less than 2 years. I am ready to step out on my own and make my business legitimized. I am asking for $5000 to jumpstart my business. This money will help to pay for LLC expenses, licensing, advertisement, website design and supplies to get started. Any additional funds, God willing, will be used towards a down payment on buying the wholesale bakery.
