Carolyn recently lost her husband, Cornelius, due to Covid-19. They have 10 children and a baby girl due in July. Although they made arrangements for such things like life insurance they did not expect for him to go so soon. Who does.
Carolyn is employed and is trying to start her own baking company. Her cakes are the best and her banana pudding will get you hooked like no other. She learned how to cook from her Grandma who recently passed this week and it is getting a little hard to be strong with everything. But she stays positive. She will send you prayers even when she needs them more.
Carolyn is one of the hardest working Team Mates I have worked with and is a go to person because of her personality is so embracing. She will greet you with a hug and help you with anything. She has always loved celebrating us at work and many times taken out of her own pocket. It's time we appreciate her.
Her husband was an amazing man who split his time between helping with pick ups, drop off, coaching and staying with the kids on nights we worked late. He was just as an amazing cook as her. They loved going to old school concerts together.
With her grievance leave almost over she needs to make arrangement for daycare and added expenses usually handled by her husband.
She has been blessed by the community embracing her and helping however they can. However, there are many things that her husband would have been the matching income for. Such clothes, food, and utilities. Her husband was her rock and now we need to be that for her.
I started this go fund me to help in a number of ways. Carolyn is in a rental property that her and her husband were planning out moving out of and buying there own place. this now has to be pushed back until funds are more readily available. Also once this pandemic is over she alone will have to get these kids ready for school.
Her children are 18, 17, 16, 15, twins that are 13, 10, 8, 3, 1 and a newborn on the way. There is so much to do before the baby comes, This happened right when she was getting ready to celebrate the coming of this baby and start nesting again but that got pushed to the side to start the healing process.
If you can please donate to help her not lose footing. not to have to struggle and choose between things. If we can help her do what she does for everyone else she would be grateful for anything.
