We have exciting news to share with you!!!!
My wife Alison and I have always had a heart for adoption. It has always been a dream of ours that our “first born” child is an adopted child.
Back when we were dating I remember asking her if that was something she would like to do one day and without hesitation she said YES. After we had been married for over a year we looked into adopting our first child. However it was so much more expensive then we imagined and so we said unless God does something we couldn’t adopt.
Around 8 months later we heard from our friends at work, that a past student who was pregnant is looking for a christian couple to adopt her baby.
Without hesitation I inquired about it to see if we were eligible.
Since that moment we have had so much support and confirmation that this is the right decision and we couldn’t be more excited.
We have been told she will be born in early June and will be a girl!
We do need to raise $15,000 for the legal fees, (because it will be an independent adoption) but compared to $35-$40,000 (which it would cost if we didn’t do it independently) we feel that this is something that God will provide for us and so if you feel to give towards bringing our baby home we would really appreciate it.
To break down the fees, the approximate costs are as follows:
California legal fees: $4,000-$6,000.
Washington legal fees for birth mother: $4,000-$6,000
Post placement investigation: $1550
Birth mother living expenses: varies
