To friends and family. We have started this Go Fund Me campaign to help with finances for a once in a lifetime opportunity for Brianna. She has been invited to tour Europe with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Choir during the Summer of 2017. The tour will be through Germany and France and will be from the middle of June through July. The International Choir will also perform back in the States upon their return.

I remember when we first realized that Brianna truly had a gift from God. We had just come back from a local performance and heard singing from upstairs. When we asked who had the radio on, Brianna told us that it was her singing. She has had wonderful teachers through her journey, but her mentor entered her life five years ago. She is the director of Resurrection Lutheran Church School of Music, Julie Wood. Julie has worked with her and helped her develop as an artist but more importantly as a person and in her faith.

This summer she was awarded a scholarship from her choir at Thunder Bay Junior High to attend the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer. Not only was it her first time away from home not with family, it was also her time to experience her music with others who love it as much as she does.

The first day at camp was intense with a lot of new things and experiences along with waiting in line to audition for the choir staff for hours. Once auditions were over, it was back to the cabins to wait for her first class and to see how she did. When she went to her first class she was informed that she was place in SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor Bass) Choir and also placed into Chamber Choir. Of all the children there, she was one of 7 Sopranos offered this extraordinary honor.

The first of this week 10/11, we received an email. It was addressed to Brianna and her very proud parents. It stated that the Director of the International Choir was inviting Brianna a soprano position on the international choir. Through the course of a year, there are over 2,000 that apply for a position and only 300 that are accepted. This is for all disciplines. Blue Lake takes choir, ballet,  jazz and orchestral bands.

The financial commitment is significant which is why we are starting our fund raising as soon as we can. We are planning on some performances along with some free will offering dinners and silent auctions.
