Dear Friends & Family,
It is with a saddened heart that we share with you the passing of our dear friend, Brian Ritenour. He was involved in a sudden and inexplicable scuba diving accident and suffered from a heart attack and stroke on January 11, 2020 in the Bahamas. He was 55 years old and leaves behind his wife, Amy (Varney), and his children, Caleb, Grayson, and Emma. He is survived by his father Donald Ritenour, and his two sisters, Cheryl and Susan.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Brian’s honor on January 31, 11:00 a.m. CST, at the 121 Community Church, 2701 Ira E Woods Ave, Grapevine, Texas, 76051. Brian and his family are of strong faith and believe that he is free now from the suffering of this earthly life. Brian had such a strong and charismatic soul that influenced the numerous amounts of people who surrounded him. We hope that everyone will join us in remembering and celebrating his remarkable life through music and shared memories.
This GoFundMe campaign is to support the Ritenour family as they navigate the many implications and expenses surrounding Brian’s sudden and shocking death. We hope to help with the expenses such as funeral arrangements, medical bills, and also alleviate some of the pressures surrounding the surviving family members. The campaign will also help with expenses surrounding Grayson’s ongoing Leukemia treatment and the college tuition for all of the children.
Amy, Caleb, Grayson, and Emma wish to express their gratitude for the outstanding amount of love and support the family has received during this difficult time. All of the gifts, texts, phone calls, and emails are a tribute to the love and joy Brian spread across all of the relationships he created throughout his life and the love that the Ritenour family will carry on for him.
With great appreciation,
Friends & Family of Brian Ritenour
