Bre's Road to Recovery
Spende geschützt
On Saturday, July 9th, our 26-year-old daughter, Breanna, was the victim of a pedestrian vs vehicle hit and run accident in Laguna Niguel, CA. She sustained severe brain trauma and extreme leg injuries to both her legs. She has multiple bone fractures throughout her body, including her skull. She is in critical care in the surgical/trauma ICU. She has received multiple blood transfusions. She is a strong woman and we know she is fighting hard for her life right now. She is currently in a medically induced coma and has already undergone surgeries to control the brain swelling. We are waiting for her to stabilize more consistently so she can receive the surgeries to save her severely injured legs. Through all of this, her doctors remain optimistic that she will get through this crucial stage. For now, we are taking this hour by hour. She is fighting to be able to take the next steps toward recovery.
We are uncertain of the future effects of her head trauma. Moving forward we know this will be a long road toward recovery. Breanna’s quality of life at this point remains to be determined. Bre is the center of our world and we as a family have truly felt, and continue to feel, your outpouring of support and prayer. We thank you for this and ask that you continue these prayers. She is a joyful, kind, and selfless soul. She loves unconditionally. Our family is hurting as we anxiously await answers. Due to the extent of her injuries and long recovery, we are trying to prepare for the financial strain this will put on her. Our family is asking for donations of any amount to help cover the costs of her out-of-pocket medical expenses and rehabilitation. We are expecting and preparing for this to take at least a year if not more. Your help will make a big difference towards the difficult road ahead. Please watch this thread for more updates as we go through this journey. We thank you dearly for your support and prayers
