Hi friends and family!
We’re reaching out to share our heartfelt journey to grow our family. After our marriage, we dreamed of giving our son (Brendan’s adopted son), Benjamin, a sibling and experiencing the joy of raising a biological child together. However, we faced the challenging diagnosis of Male Factor Infertility, which led us to pursue IVF as our only path to making this dream a reality.
This journey has been emotionally, physically, and financially taxing. From countless appointments and medications to the rollercoaster of egg retrieval and embryo transfer, we’ve poured our hearts into this process. Of 8 embryos that made it to testing, only 4 embryos were viable for transfer. Sadly, our first transfer resulted in a negative pregnancy test, but we’re not giving up. We have three more chances to welcome a child into our family, and we’re holding onto hope.
The financial burden of IVF has been significant, with costs exceeding $30,000 so far. We’re asking for your support to help us continue this journey. Any contribution, share, or kind word brings us closer to our dream of giving Benjamin a sibling and completing our family.
Thank you for reading our story and standing with us. Your love and support mean everything as we move forward with hope and faith in the miracle of IVF.
We are raising money to cover the $6,500 cost of a transfer cycle at our clinic. This includes medications, embryo transfer fees, lab work, and progress appointments. We will update you all as we reach significant milestones! Any funds raised beyond our goal will be used either in subsequent transfer cycles or as a charitable donation to infertility/ivf causes.
With gratitude,
Abigail, Brendan, and Benjamin Whitaker
