The worst surprise- Breast Cancer at 36

Early on, this fundraiser was critical in allowing me to move quickly starting procedures that I may not have been able to otherwise. Reaching the goal amount covers my medical expenses and anything beyond will help support me while I take time at home during the harshest of the treatment. I have breast cancer. It's not early and it's not isolated, but they say it is treatable. The doctors are optimistic, but it's going to be a long hard year.

Mike and I consider ourselves rather prepared people. This may be an understatement. We thought we had a good safety net saved away, and although it has cushioned us, this diagnosis has already gone well beyond our cushion. Since the biopsy came back, it's been a whirlwind of procedures, tests, and appointments. It's only the beginning and we're already 5 figures into expenses not covered by insurance.

So, simply put, I need help. If you know me well, then you probably know that asking for help is one of the hardest things for me to do. I always want to do it myself. But this time I'm gonna need some help.
