Break-A-Thon: Supporting Children with Cancer

My name is Master Chris from The One Taekwondo, and every year, we host a fundraising event called "Break-A-Thon." We raise money to support a local non-profit: The Michael Hoefflin Foundation for children cancer research and services. May 17th, 2025 will be our 7th year partnering with the wondering people at The Michael Hoefflin Foundation.

For every $5 that a student raises, they break one board. We've had some of our students individually break hundreds of boards to support the cause. I have attended every Break-A-Thon event and have helped organize the event, hold boards for the students, and perform in the demonstration team. However, I've felt over the years that I personally could be doing more for the children with cancer than simply helping out and occasionally donating $20 of my own money.

Here is my promise to you. Every $5 that you donate, I will write YOUR name on one board and break it. If I need to break a thousand boards for this cause, then so be it. I will be documenting this process by recording myself writing every donator's name on one or multiple boards and breaking them. I also promise that I will not be taking a single penny for myself, and any amount of money I can raise will go directly to the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.

Although my starting goal is $100, however much money I raise, I will be breaking the proportional amount of boards necessary. Any amount of money will be greatly appreciated, even if it is under $5. Thank you again for checking out my page!
