This GoFundMe account has been created to establish a memorial fund to effect positive social change in memory of Brandon Whittecar Nicholas Wirth (1977-2016). Brandon lived his life by working hard and playing harder, but always made time to support those in need, particularly when meeting those needs could then help to meet the needs of others.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation to this fund. It will be managed by Brandon’s family. Cumulatively, these donations will be used to support projects by those in need from around the world using kiva.org – an international non-profit, that celebrates and supports “people looking to create a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.”
Recipients of support through Kiva are required to pay back their support, by supporting another kiva project. This spirit of paying it forward is reminiscent of how Brandon sought to pass along the support he received from his family unto his friends, and the support he received from his friends unto the world.
The Wirth family will provide periodic updates via Facebook about the kiva projects supported through the Brandon Wirth Memorial Fund.
