I'm planning to go to visit the Kimbilio street children project which my dad started in D.R.Congo in 2009. I am really excited about this chance to visit the project I've been hearing about for a long time. Kimbilio project is supported by the Congo Children Trust a UK registered charity. I am planning to go with my dad in July 2025 during my summer holiday from school. While I'm there I am looking forward to meeting the children that Kimbilio supports. Alongside discovering what life looks like in Congo I'm hoping to make a few friends by playing football and learning a few new skills and a few new words in French! I'm available to help with washing your car, gardening, shopping or baking in return for a small contribution to my flight, visa and accommodation and food costs while I'm over there.
Kimbilio's mission is to protect, nurture, educate, and empower the most vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). They work with street children in Lubumbashi, the second largest city in the DRC and capital of Haut-Katanga Province, where southern Congo's cobalt mining is centred. They support street children with meals, shelter, basic health care, friendship and love. They also work to reintegrate them with their families when possible.
Thank you very much for supporting me! Brandon
