My name is Bill and I am starting this gofundme for a work colleague.
Last week at work Blair was located on site at work in a state on non-coherence and an ambulance was called by his fellow workers. Since that time he has been in hospital undergoing a barrage of tests which have revealed a brain tumor.
The shock of a young man in the prime of life for his colleagues, loved ones and Blair himself is hard to imagine and whilst there is no good time for news like this, leading into the Christmas holiday period with the prospect of many months away from work without pay just makes things very much harder with bills already coming in from everyday expenses to paid parking for his loved ones at the hospital.
Blair is a valued team member who often puts his own life on hold to work shifts that others are not available for over weekends and nights to keep the trains running. With only a certain amount of leave available now is the time to come together and help someone else out to assist in removing some of the financial burden so that Blair and his loved ones can put all their focus and energy into his recovery over what no doubt will be several challenging months ahead.
Blair did not expect this and was most grateful for the thought. He gave permission for the photos to be used.
Please give what you can and offer some words of encouragement and let's smash this out of the park.
Update 26/11/25
Blair has come out of surgery and is recovering in ICU. First step towards recovery and still a long way to go.
A big thankyou to all who have given so far.
Wishing Blair and his loved ones all the best throughout this difficult period.
Will pop in to see you soon.
