Bradley Allie & Layne's House Fire Fundraiser
Spende geschützt

Hello my name is Leslie Reavis. I started this Go Fund Me page for my ex-husband, Bradley Reavis and our two kids, Allie June & Layne Reavis.

This past Sunday, December 10th their lives took a very drastic and unexpected turn for the worse. My son and his girlfriend were at home sleeping when suddenly they were woken up by a dense and suffocating blanket of smoke filling their 2nd story bedroom. The sudden harsh coughing and struggling to breath is what startled them awake. Unfortunately, by that point the flames were already making their way up the staircase beneath them. There was nothing left to do but to find an escape. Thankfully they were able to open a window and exit the room by climbing out onto the roof of the home at which point they had to jump to safety. Their brave and quick action along with God’s mercy delivered them out of harm’s way with only a few lesser injuries including a minor hand burn from prying the window open, a few scrapes, bruises, aches and pains from jumping from the second-floor roof and smoke inhalation. They were checked by EMS at the scene and were overall very fortunate. We are so very grateful that they made it out safely.

Unfortunately, the gravity of this tragedy has now begun to set in revealing the bleak truth of the here and now. Everything they own is gone. EVERYTHING. From their home to the simple everyday items such as clothes, shoes and toiletries to sentimental personal belongings that can never be replaced, like baby books, family heirlooms and special keepsakes as well as any valuable items they had in the home. While these are all material things that are of little concern when measured against the devastation that could have been, many of these things are indeed necessities for everyday living.

This family is now homeless, and are being forced to pick themselves up and restart from absolute ground zero. So, this has led me to create this page in hopes that somehow this will reach someone who would care to lend a helping hand and help this family along their journey of rebuilding their lives piece by piece. This incident would be tragic for anyone at any time of the year but knowing that Christmas is only a couple of weeks away has moved me to find some way to help if I possibly can. However, I can only do so much as one person.

So, this year, my only Christmas wish would be that anyone that happens upon this page and is able to do so, would please consider donating to the Reavis family to help alleviate some of the burden they are carrying this holiday season. If you are unable to donate, if you could share this page on your social media or send the link to anyone that you think would be interested in helping to provide a little Christmas cheer in an otherwise desolate time, that too would be equally appreciated. Finally, if you can spare just a few seconds to say a little prayer for my family you would certainly have my eternal gratitude. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
