Losing our home

My name is David and my beautiful wife and I live and work in Indianapolis.  We both started a small live music and local art restaurant/bar here about 1 1/2 years ago.  We had high expectations for this location but the Indianapolis scene along with a rash of crime in the area has hurt business immensely.  I have put all of my time and energy into this project and every dollar made has gone back into it.  I stopped making my payments 8 months ago and each month I truly believed that the next month was going to be the "makeup" month to catch back up.  Every month a new bill hit us and each month I could not make the payment.  I was born and raised here and was so excited to marry my wife, Jeanne, so that we could start our life together with our new business.  Now the building landlord has decided to tear down and rebuild into an office building in another year and half basically leaving us clueless about what to do next.  No kids, just us and our dog but I am ashamed and embarrassed to have brought her into my life with no future hope.  Losing our small but quaint home would really screw us up especially because the business future looks bleak as well.  We have both picked up other jobs but the money just gets us by and saving enough to save the house is not foreseeable.  Our payments are small so keeping up with them, considering our other jobs, would not be a problem any longer.  We just need to clean up our past debt to get back on track.  Everyone has their issue and ours is, I know, small compared to many others but this was my last attempt at keeping my home of the last 10 years.  Any assistance would be appreciated and if you are in Indianapolis in the next year and a half, stop by Sabbatical and I got your drinks!
