Helping a good friend

Hello. I've set up this page to try and get my friend the help he deserves. As most of you are properly aware, this corona virus outbreak has hit us all mentally and financially. This is something totally out of hands. My friend who wishes to remain anonymous has been struck hard by this. He was employed as a Chef before this and has been a hard working man all of his life, but since this outbreak, he has been layed off. Not even furloughed. He is the bread maker of his household and his whole household depended on his income to support them. Since he has been made unemployed his household are struggling massively to put food on the table for their children. My friend has not eaten in 3 days and is starving himself to allow his children to eat. This is having massive impacts on his health and is only deteriorating further the longer he is starving himself. How can this be happening in the 21st century? He has applied for Universal Credit but the process is taking so long and the family is still without money! If this outbreak has shown us one thing, it is the power of the Great British People. This virus has brought the whole country together. Lets show that solidarity now and support a family who is great need of our support. I'm not asking for everybody to donate their entire earnings, but if you have £5 or £10 you could part with, anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated to support this family until the Universal Credit funds can reach this family. I appreciate anything at all you could spare.
