Libert and Madeline Bozzelli were local humanitarians who dedicated their lives to making the world a better place. After 75 years of marriage and hundreds of millions of dollars raised between the two of them for various causes, Madeline and Libert passed away in 2022. This fundraiser is to ensure their legacy of giving back will live on.
Madeline and Libert championed dozens of causes and single-handedly orchestrated hundreds (probably thousands) of fundraisers for charities, non-profits, hospitals, and associations. They were an unstoppable team that could accomplish anything with each other's support.
To keep their legacy alive, we have started an annual fund to raise money that will be donated to a different cause each year. This year, all proceeds will benefit the Tarry House in Akron, OH - an organization where Libert served as a member of the board. Tarry House is a non-profit that provides services to adult men and women in Summit County struggling with severe mental illness. Their services help these individuals to live quality, independent lives.
The race will take place on September 16. All information can be found at www.bozzelliraceforthefuture.com. The Tarry House will receive funds end of September 2023.
