Our Borukhov Family

A day we will forever mark on our calendars, October 6th 2019.
We mourned the untimely passing of a great man who we called Sasha, Alex, or Solomon Borukhov. He was a father, husband, brother, son, grandfather, and so much more to the people in his life. He leaves behind his wife who suffers from a severe case of multiple sclerosis, and three children, the youngest at only 14 years old. We are grief stricken during this hard time as we try to process his departure from this earth. It is especially difficult losing a soul who was truly so full of life, love and joy... his positive energy was contagious to all those surrounding him. He was the best handyman, a ping-pong master, a natural at any sport, the ultimate barber, a super-hero father and newly grandfather, and a devoted servant to Hashem. At only 49 years old, Solomon passed from a stroke that presented as a headache in a matter of 24 hours. No one in our family would have ever imagined that a headache would lead to this devastating loss, and only 7 months after the passing of his own mother, from which our family is still healing.
When a person passes at such a relatively young age, we do not just mourn him as an individual, but also all the events that he will not be able to witness in his lifetime. He will not dance at his middle son’s wedding. He will not see the births of his future grandchildren. He will not attend his 14-year-old daughter’s high school graduation. His presence will be missed at all of his family’s birthday parties. He will not be there to congratulate his eldest son on his promotions, or tell his children how proud he is of everything they have accomplished. He will not see where his hard work in parenting and raising his wonderful children has brought them in this world alongside his wife because he will never get the chance to grow old with her. And he will not be able to provide financial support to his family that relied heavily on him. In an unfortunate series of events, his wife was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis over a decade ago and is currently wheelchair bound due to her disabilities. Solomon never gave up on his wife regardless of her diagnosis and continued to help her cope with her condition through the years. He never faltered, never left her side because he was the backbone to his family, always providing support, guidance, wisdom and love. Because of his family’s unique circumstances, Solomon was the sole provider in his household. He worked hard to do the best that he could for his family, and in the wake of his passing, he has left a huge void that will be impossible to fill. Please do what you can to assist these amazing people who lost the crown to their family, as they are try to stand on their feet without him.
*All donations with be collected by Irina Yadgarova, the family's lawyer and Oksana Borukhov's cousin. She will be helping the family directly in managing their funds to support themselves.
