Border Dogs: Street Dogs in Baja California
Beschermde donatie
Current Number of Rescues Sharing Our Home:
- 13 Dogs (including 3 puppies)
- 3 Cats
We moved to Ensenada, Mexico from Los Angeles, CA during the outbreak of the COVID Pandemic, and could not turn our backs on the homeless Dogs that gradually came into our lives...!
Saying these Dogs "came" into our lives isn't just an expression, but is meant literally -- because, surrounded by so many street dogs in this part of the world, the criteria for giving refuge quickly became limited to those Animals who specifically seek US out: the Dogs who sometimes show up in dire straits at our front Gate; or the few who insistently follow us home, their hunger and need finally outweighing their fear of humans; and finally, those who have absolutely no hope of surviving without our intervention.
We keep an Eternal *Wishlist* of Dog Necessities, and never seem to have enough of:
- Kibble
- Food Bowls
- Flea & Tick Repellents
- Vitamins
- Dog Toys
- Raw Hide Chews
- Collars
- Harnesses
- Leashes
- Pet Beds
- Pet Cots
Currently, the youngest Puppy is also due both for Immunizations and Neutering.
Since we currently must all fit in a 1,500 Sq Ft. House on a 7,000 Sq. Ft. lot, if we could raise enough funds, our dream is relocating to a larger property with more land for the Rescue Dogs!
