Hi, my name is KyLynn and I am raising money to help the Ford family with medical and travel expenses for their upcoming trip to Boston. (June 26-July2)
Dustin and Lindsey are great parents to two beautiful children, Ashlin and Kyler and exemplar role models in the community. Dustin has some medical issues that are effecting his day to day life. These issues are physically, mentally, and financially stressful for their family. Despite Dustin's disabilities he has continued to show up and work every day to provide for his family.
Lindsey is an amazing devoted wife and mother. She continues to work a full time job while raising the kids, helping with Dustin's needs, and dealing with all the medical stress that comes with their situation.
Both Dustin and Lindsey are always the first to offer up help and would literally give you the shirt off of their back if needed. I can't think of a family more deserving of our help in this time of need.
Here is a little note from Lindsey with details of their upcoming trip to Boston:
"At the end of next month, we will be going to Boston to see a
neurologist for something called Superficial Siderosis. I have been
fighting to get him into a neurologist to deal with his severity of
symptoms for over 2 years. It’s a rare disease that happens after head or neck trauma. Superficial siderosis (SS) of the CNS is an uncommon and often unrecognized disorder caused by chronic slow or repeated bleeding into the subarachnoid space. 1. Hemosiderin deposition in the subpial layers of the brain and spinal cord causes parenchymal damage.
Which happened to Dustin when he broke his neck at the age of 9. Over time the symptoms arose and gradually get worse. In his early 20s he started experiencing hearing loss and balance issues. The older he gets the worse the symptoms become, and more symptoms have been added over the last 15 years. He walks with a cane all the time now, has had surgery and glasses trying to fix his double vision with no success, his cochlear implant doesn’t work like it’s supposed to, gait problems, swelling of legs and nerve issues in legs and feet. He works 40 hours a week to help provide for his family but this is getting harder."
This trip to Boston could be life changing for them. Any money raised will go directly to helping them financially make this happen.
