Books For The Children Of Nepal

This project is to raise money for educational supplies for rural areas of Nepal. As you might have seen I started this project in early 2018, and so far have raised £800. Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, however its location sees heavy flooding, earthquakes and geopolitical sanctions from its neighbours. The impacts these have on the countries developement stunt its domestic and international growth. In providing educational materials, we shall be helping future generations to help Nepal in every aspect of life. Originally I was set on travelling out in April 2019, however with consideration to my University commitments I am delaying this until July. This means that I shall have more time on the ground, and more time to raise funding. I shall be funding my travel privately, with 100% of funds raised being used to purchase books and transport them around the country. I shall be working closely with the humanitarian group Quest, who I worked with after the 2015 earthquakes and who continue to do so much for local communities around Kathmandu.
