Bonnie Morgan's 75th Birthday Pool Repair Gift

Beschermde donatie

Dear Family and Friends,

On November 29, 2021 our beloved mother/aunt/friend turns 75 years old! I had initially wanted to plan a big surprise birthday party similar to her 50th birthday party back in 1996; however, serious concerns about continued transmission of the COVID virus has squelched that plan.

As indicated back in September, we're going to celebrate her 75th birthday two different ways. The easy ask is for you to participate in a Zoom Meeting birthday celebration which will be scheduled for some time on Sunday November 28, 2021. More information on that will follow via Text, Email, and Facebook at the very least so please mark the date because I know she would be thrilled to see you even if only on her computer screen.

While discussing potential gifts with her, mom was at a loss for ideas and mentioned she really doesn't want us to buy a bunch of gifts just for the sake of buying her gifts. I think we can all understand that sentiment. However, it is her 75th birthday after all for which Kathy Jo, Jil, and I still desire to do something for her worthy of a milestone birthday.

If you have visited Bonnie at her home in Point Place you know what joy her backyard pool brings her and maybe you've even had the chance to enjoy it as well. If you've been to her house lately you know her pool is seriously starting to show its age. The concrete coping and tiles are failing badly with water intruding behind them and the pool has needed a coat of paint for a while. On top of that, the water heating furnace for the pool has failed beyond repair this fall and that has become a tipping point.

Unfortunately, all of this has overwhelmed her so much that she started talking about abandoning the pool and filling it in with dirt. That pool and in particular the family and friends it helps bring to her house provides too much enjoyment for her to allow abandonment of the pool to happen!

Since September we have received estimates for the necessary repairs listed above ranging from $7,000 to $20,000. That's where this second and more difficult Go-Fund-Me ask for help comes in that she would never even think of asking for herself.

So, if you were planning to purchase a gift for her, please don't and instead please plan to contribute to Bonnie's pool restoration gift no matter how little or how much you are able to contribute. If you would have spent a significant amount of money to travel and attend a birthday party which would have otherwise been scheduled, please consider spending at least some of that amount on her Go-Fund-Me pool restoration project.

And certainly, if you have enjoyed her pool with her over the years and want to ensure the ability to do so in the future, please consider a contribution to help give back to the woman who does nothing but give, give, give.

Thanks a ton everyone!

Love to you all, Todd, Jil & Kathy

P.S. Please share this fund raising effort with anyone who might not already be aware but who might like to help out also.

P.S.S. Please don't hesitate to call or text me (307-690-2820) or email me ([e-mail geredigeerd]) if you have any questions at all and/or would like to contribute directly via check instead of via credit card on this platform.
