Bond Fundraiser for Carlos

There has been one more hickup in Carlos's attempt to get bond, and he is now in need of only an additional $500.  I cannot tell you how appreciative I am of the generosity that this community has shown for helping someone who is in such need.  As soon as we have raised the final $500 I will be turning it into a money order and handing it over to Carlos's family.

Carlos** is a 43-year-old Mexican man who has been detained in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for nearly six months. Carlos has intellectual disabilities and the Immigration Judge found him mentally incompetent. He has been in the United States for over 25 years and has been a Colorado resident for over 10 years. In all of that time, his only interaction with law enforcement was one local ticket. He is undocumented, but is eligible for asylum based on his intellectual disabilities. In February 2018, the Immigration Judge granted Carlos a $2500 bond. His family is indigent, and has only been able to raise $500. Carlos is in need of donations to help him pay the remaining balance of his bond. Please help him by donating what you can. Carlos and his family will be forever grateful.
