Dear friends and family,
As you may know, I am a board member for a new elementary charter school opening in the Bronx this fall: BOLD Charter School. We will be serving kindergartners and first graders who reside in one of the lowest-income neighborhoods in NYC.
I have been a member since the planning year and through my experiences, I have learned so much more about all the work, planning, and sweat that goes into opening a new school. At this time, we are getting ready to launch our fundraising campaign and I am reaching out to you for help.
As a charter, we receive public school funding per student from the Department of Education, but our goal is to pair that with private funding so that we can offer our future kids the most opportunities and resources.
