Robert “Bob” Andrew Sanders Jr, age 67, passed away suddenly but peacefully with his family around him on Sunday, December 13, 2020.
Bob is survived by his father, Robert Andrew Sanders Sr. Devoted father to Katrina Marie, Elizabeth Ann, Cassandra Lynn, and Robert Sean Sanders. Brother of Debi (David) Flessert, Jeffrey Sanders and Richard Sanders. His family is comforted in knowing that Bob has joined his loving wife, Linda Marie Sanders (Weiler), and mother Carol Marie Sanders (Popp), in eternal life. He is survived by countless other relatives and friends whom he loved.
Known for his “dad jokes”, air guitar skills and endless life advice, Bob spent his best days making memories with his wife and family, out on the golf course, fishing or grilling next to the radio. He was passionate about “paying it forward”, always helping others when he saw a need. He lived his life as he wished to be remembered - - as a kind, decent, humble man who loved his family, took pride in his work, and raised his children to be strong, compassionate people who would impact the lives of those around them. Upon unexpectedly losing his wife, Bob became a champion for promoting the benefits of Organ and Tissue donation. Bob will forever be in the hearts of so many for the values he instilled and the love he exuded.
His family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the physicians and hospital staff of Aspirus-Wausau as well as the Aspirus-Stevens Point Emergency Department for their beautiful compassion, and for permitting them to say their final “this isn’t goodbye but I’ll see you later”s to their beloved father.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 19, 2020 at Holy Spirit Parish in Stevens Point. The family does not expect travel and attendance to this service based on the current global health crisis. Those of you who do wish to attend the service, however, please RSVP so that the family may make social distancing accommodations. A live broadcast online will be available on the Holy Spirit YouTube Page .
