The Vine Family Needs Our Help!!!

Hello friends and neighbors!

I am reflecting on an amazing visit, that I have been compelled to share. This posting is about a lovely family known as the “Vines.” Their last name alone is a true testament of their character. As you may know, a vine can take root and grows. This perfectly exemplifies what this family embodies. Injecting their love in each and every person they come across. Leaving the individual better off from when they met them, thus causing the person to experience spiritual growth from the encounterment.  


It may not come as a surprise that Mr. Vine is a Minister. He has devoted his life to serving our country as a former World War II Veteran, spreading the wonderful Gospel, and pastoring with little or no compensation. This is partially due to the congregation he serves having very little or no money. In spite this circumstance and blesse to be 91 years old--- has not slowed him down from fulfilling his life purpose.

We have been so inspired not only by his 69 years of marriage to his beautiful wife, but by the selfless life they live.

On a recent visit to check on them, it was discovered that many upkeeps needed on their house have gone neglected, obviously not by choice, but their inability and not having the necessary means to take care of them.  

We were in awe of their kindred spirits, warmness, and unpretentious attitudes in spite the disarray all around them in their home.

As of right now, they have no central air and heating in the house. They currently keep the home partially warm with a small furnace in one of the rooms. The rest of the house is cold. They are in dire need of plumbing to be done especially in the only bathroom. There’s no foundation. As a result, some areas in the house have gaping cracks in the walls and doors allowing one to see the outside from the inside.  Also, there’s a great need for carpentry work and painting needing to be done. They don’t have a washer and dryer or a connection to allow for it. Currently, they hand wash their clothes and dry them outside.  

As the next holidays are fastly approaching, and a new year upon us, it’s my sincere hope that we can raise enough money to bless this family in need. With the money raised by this campaign; we hope to allocate funds towards plumbing, painting, carpentry work, and money to assist with living expenses to name a few. Like ripples in a pond following the casting of a single pebble, so will be the magnitude of your kind acts of support.
