Blessing in a Book Bag

Hello everyone we are looking to launch a Community Book bag Giveaway this summer. This initiative, “Blessings in a Bag,” will assist families in need within Rochester’s inner city community with back to school supplies and resources for the up and coming school year. As we start to experience some great weather, we plan to collect money, supplies and resources needed to make this book bag giveaway successful. Although we understand we cannot help every family, we would love to help as many as possible. We believe that a community united can come together to make sure our little ones are properly prepared for a successful school year. Once all resources are collected, we plan to hold an event within the community, in which we will invite families within the community to enjoy food, games, free haircuts and the distribution of book bags and resources, as well as health and wellness activities as we get everyone amped up and excited about the school year!
How can you help? We am asking everyone to make a charitable donation to the initiative. No donation is to big or too small. It is the thought that counts! The event will take place on August 26, 2017 at RCenter Ryan Community Center 530 Webster Ave.
