Bless Community Services is a group born from a covid crisis project created to support the community during the lockdown.
During this time we delivered 3000 hot freshly made meals to the elderly and vulnerable. providing food parcels and prescription services to the community. not forgetting to mention the helpline 7 days for anyone who needed help.
This highlighted how vulnerable our community was and that we desperately needed to create services. Loneliness was one of the most heartbreaking we witnessed.
Providing strength and support to all our community is what is needed urgently. NO ONE should be lonely or have no support network.
BLESS wants EVERYONE! to have the choice to be either part of a group, make a new friend or just enjoy a coffee with.
A helpline available for just a natter, Friendship and kindness is free! Learning groups to help them gain knowledge and certificates. Let us fight back with learning through covid and make our minds stronger together. we have nothing to lose.
Breakfast Cafe to stop that hunger in schools and Teatime meals freshly prepared for children to come too who don't get a meal after school for many reasons. We are passionate that food poverty should not exist in the 21st century! every child should have a meal.
All our Support Groups are designed to promote well being and to encourage to have a purpose in life to get up and go, not be lonely or scared!. we are all deserving of being happy and part of something and no one should be isolated or feel alone.
Covid -19 has hit on us like a bolt out of the blue and we are all anxious and isolated. Let us break that fear and stick together in these uncertain times.
We are asking for you to support our funds so we can achieve and continue to make this possible in our community for us to be stronger together to provide that anchor for that lonely person, that person who needs to be part of something or just dealing with bereavement and loss, to help feed that child who doesn't get a meal after school or a nutritious basic meal.
With your generosity, help and support, we can do this. Just that small act of kindness can change a family's life, an elderly person to not be alone, somewhere to go to speak to someone. SUPPORT and BELONGING we all don't have a family! and we all don't have a MEAL lets help change that between us.
Kindness and Gratitude are all we need to make a difference.
