Black Farm Being FORCED to Relocate
Donation protected
The Ysrael family has been working in agriculture for over 10 years. They started in New York and moved to a homestead in Pennsylvania. They found the winters to be too harsh, so they navigated all the way down to Wrightsville, GA where they opened Local Lands Organically Grown Gardens.
“We love the country life and the freedom we have gained to grow food our way, the natural way.” - Asa Ysrael, Master Farmer
In 2017 they expanded their reach to the greater Atlanta area with Atlanta Harvest, producing from an urban setting for the first time, and they loved it! The ability to fill the gaps in food desert areas, united their love for farming with their love for serving the community.
In 2018, through a partnership agreement with a Jonesboro native, Atlanta Harvest set up shop in the heart of one of the food deserts in our greater Atlanta region.
“Having faith in the good people of Jonesboro, we created a space where you can purchase local, naturally grown, and chemical free produce. We did this for family, and the feedback has been amazing.” - EliYahu Ysrael
Through the support of the community they were able to build a small grocery store, selling the products that were of interest to the Jonesboro community.
"Our goal has always been simple, feed our community and the people have helped us do it!” - Raphaela Ysrael
Now they need your support more than ever. Their business partner is suddenly seeking a dissolution of the partnership that has blind-sided the family and is causing Atlanta Harvest hardship, making them halt business in order to relocate. With the cost of having to find and relocate to a new property, in addition to hiring legal representation, the financial burden has become more than they can bear alone. However, with your help they can successfully continue their work.
“Farming is in our blood, a gift given to us by the Father, of whom we thank everyday for the opportunity to serve [our neighbors] and help guide others in the process of healthier living.” - AriYahu Ysrael
Please help them to better more lives and uplift more communities by donating and supporting their relocation.
