Black Muslim Leadership Retreat
Donation protected
The Muslim Wellness Foundation is sponsoring a phenomenal fellowship for Black Muslim young adults (18 - 25): Deeply Rooted Emerging Leaders Fellowship. The fellowship centers the challenges, strengths and well-being of Black Muslim youth and is grounded in the belief that building power and sustainable grassroots movements cannot occur without healing and introspection.
Therefore, in this political moment young adults must acquire new skills related to racial trauma and healing, emotional intelligence, compassionate leadership and community organizing. This fellowship will offer mentoring opportunities to emerging Black Muslim young adults and support through their racial healing process. During our fellowship, we hope to nurture a cohort of emotionally intelligent social justice advocates. We have picked 16 phenomenal scholars and are looking forward to building with them.
Funds raised will subsidize transportation costs for the retreat October 27th - 29th.
