Black Country Boating Festival

Donation protected
The Black County Boating Festival is an event that has been held for the last 35 years at Bumblehole Local Nature Reserve in Netherton, Dudley.

It brings together the local community and visitors from further afield with a a weekend packed full of attractions including, Live Music, a Floating Market, Trade and Charity Stalls, a Real Ale and Cider bar, a Dog Show Boat Trips and a Funfair. This event relies entirely upon the efforts of volunteers and takes a full year to organise.

This Year's event was a great success but was a major effort to organise with additional requirements put on us to ensure a Covid safe event. We did not receive any funding from the local council or from any of the govenment recovery funds and you guessed it our costs rocketed :(

We can just about cover from our reserves and the generosity of some sponsors the additional costs incured this year but this really leaves serious doubt about the future of the festival.

To help ensure the 2023 festival can proceed we need to raise at least £5000 and this is where you could help.

We need to have enough money in our reserves before we can start the planning for 2023 but understand that times are difficult. If you came along to the 2022 event we hope you enjoyed yourself and ask for a donation however small to try and secure the event for 2023
