Bird Feeder Campaign

One of the most important amenities that my mother enjoyed during her time in hospice care prior to her passing was the bird feeder outside of her window.  It attracted beauty into her life.  Unfortunately, the feeder was often neglected and needed repositioning or refilled regularly as the staff is not usually tasked with their care.

Descending Doves is a community group which fills the role of installing, maintaining and refilling bird feeders for nursing homes, senior care facilities and other institutions which sees this charitable service as a valuable benefit to the quality of life for residents.   All they have to do is enjoy the birds which are attracted to the environment.

We schedule an installation of feeders and then provide individuals to attend their upkeep and refill their feed on a weekly basis.

This campaign seeks to establish one or two facilities with 5-8 feeders,  food for the 1st month, and weekly maintenance for the first month of service. Additionally to establish the organization's IRS tax-exempt status and the charitable organization charter in Indiana.  We will then begin to add facilities and hire community-positioned individuals to assume maintenance responsibilities.
