EMERGENCY!!
Due to the pandemic and widespread unemployment many Long Beach renters are now more than ever on the verge of being pushed out. In an effort to combat this we are organizing to raise funds that will directly be provided to tenants whom connect with The Long Beach Tenants Union that are either currently fighting eviction or who have recently been pushed out. Funds raised will be distributed to all community members with a focus on marginalized voices.
Money donated will be disbursed with intent to be used for:
Rent
Security Deposit
Utilities
Clothing
Furniture
Hygiene Supplies
CURRENTLY we are working with an elderly Long Beach resident who was evicted and their living situation is extremely temporary. In addition to this resident this fund will be used as a broader community support fund.
