Support for Bill and Phyllis Perrin

My name is Brittany Simane and I created this page on behalf of my grandparents, Bill and Phyllis Perrin. About 6 years ago, my grandmother was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. It had gone undetected for close to 8 years prior to that. After immediately starting treatment and having one of her breasts removed, she started the long road to recovery. She has been in and out of chemo regularly over the years and still works full time at her job which requires her to lift and sort boxes that can weigh up to 50 pounds. A few months after my grandmother was diagnosed, my grandfather, Bill, fell off the lawn mower one afternoon and hit his head and was taken to the hospital and spent several days in the ICU with a brain injury. He spent the next 7 weeks in and out of the hospital and a rehab facility where he lost over 60 pounds and had to learn to eat, sit up, get out of bed, and walk again before he was able to go back home where my grandmother has cared for him since, simultaneously trying to maintain her own health. Needless to say, this has put a major financial strain on my family, and my biggest concern is my grandmother working. She has countless medical bills and financially she cannot support herself and my grandfather without the added income. She is turning 80 next month and I am trying to raise enough money for them so that she can at least pay off a couple of her bigger bills to be able to cut back on her hours every week. Anything helps, and anyone who knows her can attest to the fact that she is the strongest and most positive person despite any obstacle she is faced with, and is so giving to all those around her. Even the smallest donations make the biggest difference.
