Bill Traxels Cancer Journey

Hi, my name is Judy Traxel Slye and I'm helping my brother Bill Traxel raise money to help with the astronomical expenses that are involved during his fight with cancer.

Bill was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma that started in his stomach and has spread to go lungs, liver and abdomen. He is currently in Upstate Medical center undergoing chemo and radiation. He is unable to leave the hospital at this time due to extreme nausea. A feeding tube was installed this past Friday and will hopefully help to give him strength.

Karla, his wife, has been by his side from the beginning. Karla worked for Metlife for 28 years and left in June of 2022 to start a new job, unfortunately this makes her unable to qualify for FMLA as she's only been at her new job for 9 months. She is allowed a caregiver allowance of sorts but that only covers a few weeks. Their children, kaitlyn, Glenn and rhiannon are helping keep things going at their home but Kaitlyn had to suspend going to college to help. My brother was a stay at home dad and raised chickens and goats until recently, more importantly, he is the one my mom has relied on the past few years for basically everything. In creating this go fund me I'm hoping to give their minds a little relief while they continue this battle. I appreciate all of you❤
