Bill went into surgery on Monday, August 6, 2018 for a Hiatal hernia surgery.  Everything looked good and he got to go home on Friday.  On the evening of the 11th,  he started throwing up.  This lasted through the night . I took him back to the ER on Sunday morning, he was in a lot of pain. They admitted him because his pain worsened, going up to 11 on the pain scale.

His oxygen levels went from a 4 to 100 percent and  they moved him to the ICU.  His blood pressure dropped and then they had to insert a chest tube because there was no way he would have made it to the operating room. They finally got him to surgery and found out that they had to remove part of his stomach and esophagus because both organs  had lost blood supply. They went back into surgery again on Wednesday to clean it out and make sure other organs did not die.

All looked good, but now there is a concern for his kidney function because they are not working properly. They inserted another chest tube to remove fluids and his white blood count is still high.  They have started dialysis.  Please pray for him to get better.
