charity bike ride

Hello! Our names are Darcy Fielder and Eliza Ventham and we are going to be doing a bike ride to raise money for two mental health charities. Covid 19 has had a very large effect on many people's mental health and these charities have done a lot to help those who have suffered. As the intensity of the pandemic seems to have decreased, the importance of mental health can be forgotten by many. However, unseen to lots of people, services are being overwhelmed by patients with mental health conditions. (from Darcy)- One of these charities is very significant to me, the Covid 19 pandemic had a negative effect on my mental health. The local mental health services really helped me throughout my recovery and so we have decided to split the donations between: Mind- a general mental health organisation in the UK , and a local adolescent mental health center. Our bike ride will be from the 12th July until the 15th July 2023. We will be starting our ride from Ashton Keynes village pub and we will be finishing in Lands End, Penzance which is approximately 450km. The bike ride will have a total elevation of 5,110 meters and Darcy's Dad will be riding with us most of the time. However, others may be joining us at different points across the four days. JOIN US ON THE FIRST DAY! We would love people to join us for as long/ short as they want (feel free to get in contact with us- we are likely to start at around 8am).
