Bethel Victory HOME Garden Project

Bethel AME Church of Ardmore established its community garden in Spring, 2018. Today, with. 12 raised beds, the garden has been a GAME CHANGER in the local community bringing together so many from various walks of life and has assisted local food pantries and neighbors.
Now, 3 years later with COVID-19 that has disrupted lives and food supply and access to healthy food options - its time to expand the garden to people's homes! Thus, the birth of the Bethel Victory HOME Garden Project.
Community members have expressed interest in repurposing. their front and/back yards to benefit their family's food supply but also the demand of our local food pantries, which have all seen a 50%+ increase during this pandemic. We must begin empowering each other and our community to literally take into their hands their food source!
Consider sponsoring a box, includes the lumber, soil, seeds/seedlings and other materials! As of August 1, 2020, we have built/repurposed/restored close to 40 home gardens in our community! Our overall fundraising goal is $20,000. We are half way there!
