Berkeley Police Association Turkey Baskets 2021

The Berkeley Police Association is seeking donations to assist families in need throughout our community for Thanksgiving. We are again hosting our “Turkey Basket” event. The Berkeley Police Association, with help from many community volunteers, provides families with everything necessary to cook a complete Thanksgiving meal. These meals include a whole turkey, various sides, and a dessert.

In 2019, we were able to help provide 500 complete Thanksgiving meals for families in Berkeley. The success of this program relies heavily on community organizations such as Mindful Money, the Berkeley Police Department, the Fourth Street Business District, Oakland Grocery Outlet, City Center Church, and many more. With over 75 individual volunteers in 2019, this event allows community members to come together with the Berkeley Police Association to assemble and deliver the meals to the families and organizations in need.

Many families have come to rely on this program giving them the opportunity to come together and have a good meal. We are hoping to compound on prior success and make this our best year yet. The goal is to serve 600 local families with our baskets.
