Bentlee Nicole Williams Medical Bills

Donation protected
On Sunday, December 8, 2019, Bentlee Nicole Williams was born early (27 weeks’ gestation) at 6:18 AM in Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH).

She weighed only 2 lbs. 14 oz and was 15 1/4 inches long (this is SMALLER than an American Girl doll!).  Her original due date was March 6, 2020.

Almost immediately following her birth, she experienced her first helicopter ride as she was airlifted to the NICU at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Less than 24 hours after delivering, her mama, Courtney, traveled to Springfield to be at Bentlee’s side in the NICU and has been staying overnight in the Ronald McDonald house.

Bentlee has two proud big sisters, Grace (12) and Kaydence (7), who got to meet her today & are eager to get her home with them in Mount Zion.

Bentlee’s dad, Ben, will soon be going back to work full-time in his 40+ hour a week job in Decatur.

Bentlee is expected to remain in the NICU in Springfield until mid-March 2020.

Courtney is currently trying to obtain approval for some extended time from her job in Bloomington, Illinois (yes, you read that right…she drives from Mount Zion to Bloomington TWICE A DAY to provide for them) but this has not yet been approved.  If approved, it is unclear how long that arrangement might last.

It’s very likely that Courtney will have to take unpaid leave.  With regular bills that will continue to need paid, additional expenses for driving to Springfield regularly, hospital bills (they will hopefully meet their HIGH out of pocket maximum), and the upcoming holiday; they are likely to face some financial stressors.

With their permission, we have started this fundraiser to help give some relief from these costs for them.

The Dalton James Bruning foundation will continue helping them, but we are asking for help from our generous community as well as Courtney and Ben’s.

Please consider donating what you can spare this season to help this family; no matter how big or small you think your contribution might be, I can assure you that it will not be wasted or used in vain.

Let’s help them not have to worry about the finances this hospital stay will bring and still be able to provide for their normal needs so they can focus on helping Bentlee grow and be healthy.
