Ben's Movember Fundraiser for Pieta House

155KM + 31 COLD DIPS = A PRICE OF A PINT
For the month of Movember (yes, that's no typo!), I will be challenging myself to run 5KM along the Prom and no matter the weather, go for a cold swim in Salthill to top it all off, every single day. The most difficult part of this will be me trying to grow a moustache!!
And all this will cost you is a price of a pint in return for a good deed.
Now for the serious bits:
Suicide. What an awful term. Yet it is the second leading cause of death amongst 15-29 year olds in the world. We all understand how important it is to address mental health topics, however, we find ourselves in an area where mental health is swept under the rug.
Not only do we have to look after ourselves, we have to do our part to help those who are in much worse-off positions. Looking after your mental health is just as important as exercising and going to the gym.
It is vital that we make sure that we get in contact with our close ones and support the organisations who provide the right care in these situations to those who need it.
The thing is - you or I may never fully appreciate the quantity of people who may need this service.
I have chosen Pieta House as my charity - who do incredible work in the area of mental health and have an incredible support network in place to help those who need it. See https://www.pieta.ie/ for more info.
All I am asking is that you donate the price of a pint if you can. We won't be spending this luxury income for the month of November and it'll make you feel that little bit better knowing you did a wholesome thing. If not, give this post a share and tell your mates.
