31st March 2024 marks International Transgender Day of Visibility! ️‍⚧️ To celebrate, the Bee Proud committee are pleased to announce that we will be hosting not 1.. but 2 bake sales to raise money in support of 2 wonderful charities - Bundesverband-Trans and Transinterqueer.

Got a sweet tooth? Bee Proud’s Sweet Bake Sale will take place on the day of our next AllHands – 26th March 2024. More of a savoury queen? Bee Proud’s Savoury Bake Sale will follow the day after (27th March 2024). To find out how you can get involved and help raise money for a great cause, read ahead.

How can I participate?

Participation is open to all! Just simply bring your bakes on the most appropriate day and leave them in your office’s designated bake sale area (details below).

How much will the bakes cost?

Each baked goodie will have their own recommended price, starting from 1€. However, you are more than welcome to donate more to a great cause! We will be accepting cash donations, as well as setting up a QR code where you can donate digitally.

Bundesverband-Trans are a charity that were founded in 2015. They are committed to promoting the human rights and health of trans* people and people who do not identify with binary gender markers. They are actively fighting for the abolition of the existing “Transsexuals Act” in Germany, so that a change of first name and civil status is possible without an expert report and a court decision.

TransInterQueer has been offering a variety of self-organized offerings since 2006. This includes group meets, educational work, advice and information. They also contribute to political work, as well as both national and international networking on trans*, inter* and non-binary topics.

What can I win?

Other than a sense of pride and achievement for aiding a fabulous charity, there are 2 prizes up for grabs for the best bake. Each bake will be tasted by both Crissie and Jordan, and judged on flavour and presentation. Bribes from any of you competitive rascals will be accepted (and subsequently donated to the charities).

Savoury Bake

The prize for the Savoury Bake has been sourced from the depths of the internet. After much deliberation, we can confirm that the Savoury Bake superstar will be compensated with a prize, worthy of a star chef. Bee Proud? Absolutely. But Bee Excited to win the coveted Humping Turtle Salt & Pepper Shakers.

Sweet Bake

Just because you are hot stuff in the kitchen, doesn’t mean your paws should burn. From the runway to the office, the über-stylish “Bitch, I Am The Secret Ingredient” oven mitts are up for grabs! Every time you cook up another showstopping bake in your kitchen, you’ll be constantly reminded that you were the star of the Bee Proud Bake Sale.
