While on a trip of a lifetime to South Africa with her husband and sister, Becky had a serious accident while horseback riding. She fractured her arm and tore an artery. She had to have a 6 hour emergency vascular surgery as well as pins put in place. Once she is home she will have to have total reconstructive surgery on her elbow.

I am setting up this gofund me account for Becky because (if you know her), she is the most selfless, good spirited person I have ever met. She would never ask for help from anyone, even though she is constantly helping others.

Becky does have insurance, so she will hopefully be reimbursed for some of her out-of-country medical expenses, but she will still be acquiring many unexpected costs.  Not only will there be medical expenses, but her husband and sister are extending their stay to be with her, so hotel and food costs will add up. Once she is back home she will need reconstructive elbow surgery, which will put her out of work for some time as well. 

Despite her pain and longing to be home, she still has her signature "Becky smile" across her face and great sense of humor. She said she faced her fears of bungee jumping while on vacation, but unfortunately aquired a new fear of horses...and I don't think anyone can blame her!
