Help Me Start Beauty Breakthrough!

Hello beauties!
On August 4, 2013 I will be completing my first Ironman 70.3 Triathlon to support the fundraising efforts of my faith-based organization, Beauty Breakthrough. I'll be swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles, and running 13.1 miles all because I know my life's mission is to help women feel beautiful and draw them closer to God.
I was inspired to start Beauty Breakthrough about a year ago during my own personal struggles with how I looked and felt. I was suffering from adult acne and 20 pounds overweight which affected my self-esteem and I knew I wasn't alone in feeling this way. I'm a full-time beauty editor, which means that I see and hear a lot of the challenges that women face when it comes to our skincare, hair, health and fitness. After reading literally thousands of emails and social media posts from women who have just about lost all of their confidence over physical struggles such as acne, alopecia, health problems or an extra 10 pounds that wouldn't budge, it dawned on me that there was a better way of solving all of these beauty and health problems than by using a product from the drugstore or a starting quick weight loss fix. Our ultimate beauty and health solution is Jesus Christ. Period.
After much prayer and time with God, I began to understand that God saw me as beautiful, thus I needed to see myself as beautiful, flaws and all. I began pouring myself into scriptures and God's word inspired me to start taking better care of myself. As a result, my diet improved, my skin cleared up, and I started getting more rest and losing weight. This journey is what inspired me to start Beauty Breakthrough. It combines everything I'm passionate about: beauty, fitness, healthy eating, helping others and most importantly, Jesus Christ.
I'd be so grateful for your support in getting Beauty Breakthrough off the ground. I'm pushing myself harder and harder each week as I train for this Ironman Triathlon, but I know that my hard work will pay off. My primary goal for completing this triathlon is to inspire women to honor God via a healthy and spirit-led lifestyle that cultivates beauty and happiness from the inside out!

The funds raised during this campaign will be used to support Beauty Breakthrough's faith-based community events and activities. Sample activities would include:
-Women's Bible study groups centered on self-esteem, beauty and weight loss
-Partnering with salons and beauty brands to offer complimentary hair and beauty workshops
-Providing low-income women with nutrition counseling and personal training
-Donating beauty items and toiletries to women's shelters
-Hosting free aerobics and exercise classes
-Providing wigs and complimentary wig styling for cancer patients
-Sponsoring low-income high school seniors with hair and makeup for their prom
Below is a partial list of additional items that your donations will help to finance:
-Materials for events and workshops
-Creating a website
-Other web services (email, site hosting, online Bible study groups, etc)
-Event space rentals
-Speaker and instructor fees
-Business cards, brochures
-Postage and shipping
Please note that NONE of the funds raised will go towards my own participation in the triathlon. I am covering those costs out of pocket.
